Am I doing this right

~bows slightly at the waist~  Allow me to introduce myself.  I am Baiser de la Montagne.  ~does a little Puss N'Boots flourish~    The name implies that I am French, alas, I am not.  I am English.  Not Labradorian or even Canadian as one might expect.  I am English.  ie:  From England, not english speaking, even though I am.  It is possible that my great ancestors were from Portugal, and brought to England by the aristocracy.  Would this be a good time to tell you that my 7th great grandfather on my mother's side (furless) was forced out of England for stealing chickens?  I will save that for another day.

My name is French,. as I said.  The translation is Kiss of the Mountains.  Mom, being the crazy lady that she is, and by the way NOT French either . . . wanted the Mountains as part of my name.  She is a Mountaineer from the sweet,  soulful mountains of North Carolina.  Now Mom, as I said, being crazy decided that she would name me Baiser de la Montagne.  She liked the way it sounded, but not nearly enough to call me that.  The name that I answer to for treats, dinner, and long walks at the lake is Smoochy.  Smoochy, the adorable purple rhino in the movie "Death to Smoochy".  It is a black comedy.  I will assume that is why my name is Smoochy.  Black Comedy - Black Dog.  Makes perfect sense to this labbie dabbie.

I have very good intentions of making this blog a part of my day.  I want to introduce you to what life is like for a well loved, well fed Black Lab in the heart of Wisconsin.  Yes, Yes, Wisconsin.  It is only mine and Mom's  hearts that are in North Carolina.  So, stay tuned for additional words of wisdom, or foolishness.  Welcome to my Blog!
